Orange shirts filled every corner of Neyland Stadium. Everyone at the University of Tennessee football game looked alike. How would I ever find Jeff and our daughter, Ashley?

I’d got caught up watching the players arrive at the stadium and left my purse hanging from the back of Ashley’s wheelchair. When it started to rain, Ashley and Jeff dashed for cover and quickly disappeared into the crowd. Now I couldn’t even call them from my cell.

I strained my neck to look over and around the sea of orange. No sign of them. I bent my knees and hunched down, trying to spot the wheels of Ashley’s chair. It was useless. A young woman approached me. “You seem like you lost something,” she said, holding up my purse.

“Where did you find it?”

She said it was just lying there on the ground. It must have slipped off the back of Ashley’s chair. What were the chances of me ever coming across it again? Especially since I hadn’t even known it was lost!

As I thanked the astute stranger, I caught sight of Jeff's panicked face. “Did you lose something?” I called, waving my purse up above the crowd. Jeff smiled. Ashley looked relieved as well.

The three of us got to our seats just in time to see the kickoff. In that sea of orange-clad fans, I’d found my husband, my daughter and my purse. And an angel had found me.
