The popular streaming service is releasing dozens of original Disney and Pixar films each month, with storylines ranging from adventure to mystery to fantasy. Here are seven fun-filled movies we’re looking forward to watching.
Jungle Cruise
This fantasy adventure film will take you through the Amazon jungle with boat skipper Frank Wolff (Dwayne “the Rock” Johnson) and researcher Dr. Lily Houghton (Emily Blunt), as they embark on a mission to find an ancient tree that contains healing powers capable of changing the future of medicine. Similar to the Disneyland theme park ride of the same name, Jungle Cruise will feature encounters with wild animals and supernatural forces throughout the lush, tropical rainforest. This family-friendly movie is available in theaters and on Disney+ with Premier Access.
Us Again
In a world where everyone radiates rhythm and movement, an elderly man named Art and his young-at-heart wife regain their youth and spark for life during a magical night in New York City. This animated short film, now streaming on Disney+, tells a beautiful story entirely though music and dance.
The Parent Trap
Separated at birth and unaware of each other’s existence, teenagers Hallie Parker and Annie James encounter a twist of fate when they meet at a summer camp. They decide to switch places in order to reunite their divorced parents and make their family whole again. This 1998 family film, and the orignial 1961 Disney film of the same name, are available on Disney+.
Raya and the Last Dragon
Discover the fantasy world of Kumandra, where humans and dragons live together, with Raya, a lone warrior, as she goes on a quest to restore the land and bring its people together. Its thought-provoking themes of trust and teamwork will capture the attention of people of all ages. This vibrant adventure film, which first debuted on Disney+ with Premiere Access in March, is now available on the streaming service at no additional charge.
The Little Mermaid
Revisit this Disney classic about a young, independent mermaid named Ariel, who spends her days singing and daydreaming about the world beyond the sea. Marvel Studios’ “Black Widow”
