Wes Yoder is a buddy of mine and he’s written an incredible book called Bond of Brothers. It’s about the spiritual life of men.
It’s not a book for everyone, but I’d love to share it with any of you who are interested. It might be just the right thing for your men folk. Mind you, Wes Yoder is honest about a lot of things: faith, sexuality, relationships, business and the way men can get themselves into terrible messes when they run away from God.
Men need to talk honestly to each other and to themselves. “Men will never outtalk women—and we don’t need to—but finding his voice is one of the most significant things that can happen for a man, his wife, his children and his friends. This awakening of soul and mind, rediscovery of dead and lost dreams, rebirth and healing of relationships and renewed flow of life and joy in a man’s daily life are not only possible; they are imperative,” he writes. “And these are not as far from your grasp as you may think.”
Wes is just the kind of guy you want to sit around and have a long chat with. I’m lucky. I have. But reading his book is just as good. Maybe better.
I’ve got six copies of Wes’s book and I’d love to give them away. Tell me what things men can do to help each other grow in faith. Put your comments here and I’ll pick at random six people to send a copy of his book.
