Peter Bregman over at Fast Company has a great idea: He’s taking photos of people who “inspire me with some quality I want to nurture in myself” and putting them on his fridge. Even people he doesn’t know.
Which of your friends is a good example of perseverance? Who do you know who’s particularly patient? Have you met someone who is cheerful in the face of difficulty? Who refuses to gossip? Who is your role model for growing in humility?
We rarely run into people who are shining examples of every virtue. But the Lord gives us plenty of role models for each of our spiritual needs. Why not do something to remind ourselves of who they are?
Make a list of the qualities you want to develop in order to draw closer to God. Look around. Find the people he has put in your path as examples. Take photos. Put them on your fridge. Give thanks. Grow.
