Inspiring Books, People and Pets
This week, we have two accounts of readers inspired by people (and pets) and two accounts of readers inspired by books.
“I am inspired by your roving editor Elizabeth Sherrill,” writes Laurie Schwaab. “I attended her Writer’s Conference at North Central University in Minneapolis yesterday … what an amazing woman she is!”
Arie Nelson Strobel is inspired by Edwene Gaines’s book The Four Spiritual Laws of Prosperity: “I’m committed to tithing and crawling out on the skinny branches to get the fruit of living in faith.”
Mark Allen Newbauer is inspired by Jesse Duplantis’s book Heaven: Close Encounters of the God Kind.
And finally, Marcia Wilson shares this story, about her grandson’s Jack Russell terrier. One day, Wilson says, when the dog was being especially trying, her daughter exclaimed to the grandson, “ ‘You certainly have a very naughty dog.’ He replied, ‘I know, but I love her.’ That made me think of God; he knows how ornery we are, but he loves us anyway!”
