Change comes whether you’re ready or not. I’ve known for months that Sharon Azar was leaving Guideposts to travel the country with her dogs. But none of us were really ready to see her go.
To say goodbye we planned the best party we could think of: rainbow streamers to match Sharon’s colorful clothing, gluten-free treats and a beautiful picture of Sharon in full belly dancing regalia. Rick Hamlin sang a song specially written for the occasion.
That didn’t make it any easier when I walked into the office and saw Sharon’s empty desk. And I do mean empty–no more colorful scarves draped over the lights, no more wolf pictures on the walls, no pile of coats in many colors hanging from the back of the chair. How would we get on without her?
Luckily I soon got my answer: TJ! She just started working here. Her desk is already taking shape–jelly beans, Dr. Who and Star Trek. I can’t wait to get to know her. Sharon’s off on her next great adventure, but she left us in good hands.
