While I was at the State Botanical Garden of Georgia, the head of the horticulture department wanted to show me something. He knew I would like it.
He took me over to an orchid and lifted up a flower on the plant to show me what was on the inside. He told me it was called the Nun orchid. On the inside, it looks like a nun’s cap. If he had not told me, I would have never known what was hidden deep within the flower.
Two weeks ago, I was not able to photograph the orchid at a low enough angle to show the nun’s cap. I went to the garden today for a meeting about the hummingbird trail.
While I was there, I photographed the flower again. This time the angle was perfect. Better yet, the center part of the flower was in the shape of a heart, pink and red.
The most important thing we can do in our lives is to pray and ask the Lord into our hearts to be our personal Lord and Savior. He does not force His way into our hearts, but knocks on the door.
If there is an emptiness or a void in your life, the missing part is Jesus. If you have not asked Him into your life, do so today. It will be the best decision you will have ever made. It’s what is on the inside that counts!
