Hi. It’s Rick Hamlin, 10 Prayers You Can’t Live Without.

[MUSIC PLAYING]

This is the seventh prayer, Alleluia.

(SINGING) Alleluia, alleluia.

You know, when you can’t say a prayer, you can always sing it. There’s so much great music connected to praying and connected to worship. If you get one of those songs in your head, they stay there.

You know, Paul said we are to pray without ceasing. I think music is a way you can do it. That song that plays in your head.

Think of the songs like (SINGING) Seek ye first the kingdom of God.

Well, you know, I hear that. I see those phrases in the Bible, and I hear the music.

Or just (SINGING) alleluia.

There’s alleluia. It’s music.

Or some other beautiful hymns, like (SINGING) Amazing Grace, how sweet the sound.

It’s music that will help you pray. In my choir room as a kid there was a sign that said, he who sings, prays twice. Well, I think it’s because the music works through you.

You don’t think you can sing. Ah, sure you can. The Bible didn’t say make a perfect noise, make a beautiful noise. It said make a joyful noise.

Put earbuds in. Let that music work through you. The music will help you pray.

(SINGING) Alleluia, alleluia, alleluia, alleluia.
