Hi, it’s Edward and Gracie again back on the trail and it’s Memorial Day already. And it’s just, it came so fast. And it usually marks the beginning of summer. When this pandemic hit, it was the beginning of spring, and I could not have imagined that we would still be in the throes of it, at least many parts of the country, and that our lives would have changed so much.
But Memorial Day is a good time, I think, to contemplate this. Memorial day honors the men and women who have fallen in service of the country, in our wars overseas and at home.
It also honors those families and those communities, all of whom made such incredible sacrifices during those very difficult times of war. And we are going through a type of war now that is calling upon us to make sacrifices and to depend on our grit and our determination.
But most of all, as societies before us and Americans before us have depended on, we depend on our faith as that bedrock strength to get us through difficult times, and the belief that there’s always something good on the horizon. Good because of God’s goodness, and that we will rewarded for our sacrifices and for our depravations and that for Memorial Day this year, that’s what I’m going to keep in mind that the sacrifices we make today will reward us tomorrow. Thanks. Enjoy the weekend.
