Hello, I’m Ty’Ann Brown, encouraging you to keep the faith.

Goodbye 2020! Wow, that was a long and crazy year. And I’m sure that speak for many of us when I say that I was ready to leave 2020 behind and enter into moving forward into 2021.

I mean, the Corona virus roared into our lives and changed almost everything about the way we live. Fear swept through our world as we try to understand this new strange pandemic. Fear from keeping ourselves and our loved ones from the virus, fear from losing our jobs, fear from coping with social isolation, fear from our children missing school, fear from race, riots, politics and everything in between.

But here we are. We made it through 2020, and now it’s time to step fearlessly, hopefully, and confidently into the new year. I know many people are feeling bruised and battered by the events of the last year. Some people are grieving the loss of loved ones to the virus. Others are fearful of the economy and what lies ahead. And I want you to know that there is reason for great hope.

Think on Isaiah 40:31; it says, “But those who hope in the Lord will renew their strength, they will soar as eagles, they will run and not be weary, they will walk and not faint.” So what does this verse tell us? That basically, no matter how weary and overwhelmed you may be after the events of 2020, the good news is that God does not grow weary. Never! And while you may stumble and fall at times, you must remember not to rely on your own strength or resources, but just to turn it all over to God for only he truly can get you through the storms of life.

So here’s the plan: In 2021, we’re going to trade in fear for faith. We’re going to hope in God’s amazing promises. He’s going to help you to stand up and shake off 2020 and cause you to soar into an amazing new year. God bless you. Keep the faith.
