Hello friends, I’m Edward Grinnan, with some exciting news about your magazine that will keep Guideposts vital for years to come.

Starting with the June/July issue of the magazine, we will be switching to a bimonthly publication schedule, which means you’ll be getting six issues a year instead of the current 10. However, you’re going to be getting a bigger and better magazine than ever.

First, we’ve increased the number of pages per issues to 100. That’s some 30 pages more than you’re getting now, and that will be the minimum size of the book. We’ll debut exciting new features you’ve been asking for, interviews with today’s faith leaders, articles on scripture, on prayer, and profiles of positive people who will help you live your life with greater optimism and hope. These are features I can’t wait for you to see.

Our talented creative team has created a brilliant new redesign that I think you’re going to love. We’re going to print the magazine on better paper, including the cover, with a more readable typeface. And because of the better paper, we’ll have enhanced photographic features that are uplifting and tell great stories visually.

Our magazine content will be more closely aligned with guideposts.org and our other social media platforms. So you can go into more depth with the articles and topics and meet the amazing people behind these amazing stories.

You may be asking, like my wife, Julee, did, if the size of the magazine will remain the same. The answer is yes. Guideposts will continue to be published in the convenient digest-size publication that you love to carry around with you in your purse or in your back pocket. And it’s easy to share with others.

As a nonprofit organization, we have served you, our readers, for 75 years, and we are committed to serving you for another 75 years, which is why we are making these critical investments in your magazine. They will help sustain and grow the organization you so generously support for years to come.

The upheaval of the last year has changed the way we live and the way we work, and it’s accelerated the transformation of the magazine business. What is crucial is how we respond to this changing and challenging landscape in order to expand our mission to make the world a better, more hope-filled place.

We undertake these important changes to continue to carry our message that anything is possible with hope, faith, and prayer. Thank you for being our trusted partners in this important mission. We love putting this magazine together for you. You inspire us to inspire you, which is why I can’t wait for you to see the June/July issue.
