Dear Trudy,
Four years ago, my husband died and went to that beautiful home we call heaven. It has been quite a journey without him, but I am making it, and someday I hope to join him there.
My husband had a stroke on his birthday, August 30, in 2007. He had to go to the hospital and even though for about a week he seemed to get better, it was not to be. Instead he got worse, and he eventually died on October 1.
While this was happening, my sister and I prayed for him in the hospital, as he was not saved. I do believe that God saved him, because within his final hours on Earth, he smiled a couple of times like he was seeing that beautiful place.
I hope when it is my time, I will go peacefully, as he did, with a glimpse into my final home.

Hi Shirley,
Thank you so much for your note about your husband. Prayer moves mountains, as you know so well. God hears and answers all of them. He wants each and every person he has created to be home with him in heaven for eternity. Trust God to have your husband with him now. I bet his smile said it all for you. God lets us see these things so that we taste the peace he speaks about in scripture. Rest in that understanding.
Blessings,
Trudy Harris
