The Feb/Mar 2016 issue of Mysterious Ways just came out and I must say I’m psyched. For one thing, it’s our “love issue,” featuring a brand new section called “Love & Devotion.” Also, I can’t get enough of the cover image–a 1.75-mile-long hedge maze from Warminster, England.
I was so psyched that I actually built a real-life maze out of the extra issues in the office–right in the middle of the Guideposts lobby. (Hey, when life hands you maze-covered magazines, you build a maze!) Our art team placed toy figurines in the maze for a touch of suspense (will they get out?!), and our copy editor added mini Post-it note signs.
There’s something funny about encountering a real-life maze every time you walk into the office. It really hits you how very much like a maze our own lives are. There are unexpected twists and turns. Sometimes we get stuck and can’t find our way out of a mess. We have no idea what’s coming next.
But God can see it all. From His vantage point, those twists and turns aren’t nearly as troublesome. He can see the miracles waiting for us around the corner. And the ways out of those messy situations.
What does the Mysterious Ways cover make you think about? You can take a sneak peek at the issue in the video below:
