I recently blogged about a heart found in an onion, a sweet discovery made by regular Guideposts contributor Delace Canada. In response to that blog post, Mysterious Ways reader Teresa Nagel shared some pretty appetizing heart-shaped wonders of her own.
“Wanted to share some recent examples of God’s love everywhere if you have eyes to see,” she wrote on Mysterious Ways’ Facebook page.
Take a look at her photos below of the hearts she spotted in a grapefruit seed at breakfast, a potato chip at lunch and a spoonful of soup at dinner.
Of course, hearts seem to be a pretty common shape in nature (there are even heart-shaped islands!) But it seems significant to me that hearts appear in food, which is itself a gift from God and a comfort. Could it be God’s trying to send the message that love, too, is both a gift and a comfort that he’ll provide?
The romantic in me says yes. What do you think?
