May the God of hope fill you with all joy and peace in believing, that you may abound in hope. Romans 15:13
The word filled may not exactly portray your condition at the end of the day. Perhaps drained is a better description of how you have been emptied of energy, creativity and even patience.
Yet it is precisely when you have reached the end of your own resources that God begins to fill you with his. He shows you that he sufficiently supplies what you lack and satisfies your deepest yearnings.
It is his desire to fill you with hope–the knowledge that you will have joy and peace when you trust his help in every circumstance. So be filled with him tonight and rest easy. He will surely satisfy your soul.
Dear God, I am drained. However I praise you because I know you will fill me with hope and help in wonderful ways. Amen.
