[MUSIC PLAYING] Hi, I’m Rick Hamlin, and Happy Father’s Day. My father always had a little phrase when he was meeting people that were going through some trouble. He’d say, I’ll hold a good thought. So if they’re going through financial trouble, cancer, maybe a death in the family, he’d say, I’ll hold a good thought for you. And it was his way of saying, I’ll keep you in my prayers.
This past February, my dad died after a long, slow decline. I was with him. The whole family was with him. But it was still a loss. He died at 4:30 in the morning.
That morning and I was wondering how am I going to get through this. And I remember what Dad would have said– I’ll hold a good thought. So it’s a phrase I’m using now remembering Dad. If I can hold good thoughts for others, I know they’re holding good ones for me. You’re in our prayers.
