My oldest daughter, Rebecca, is graduating from high school this Friday. She is a sweet, loving and caring person. I am blessed to have her as my daughter. What a great gift from God!

My lovely online friends. My son passed away in January; his first birthday would have been May 11, just a few days after Mother’s Day. They knew this was going to be a rough time for me, so 16 of them created a beautiful prayer quilt for me. They also put together a scrapbook with handwritten letters of love and encouragement from each of them. These lovely ladies are from all over the U.S. and Canada, and we only know one another from our blogs. Their outreach is truly an inspiration.

If it’s not too conceited: I’m inspiring myself! I just rejoined a gym I quit four years (and many pounds!) ago, and have a renewed commitment to eat healthier, be more active and have a healthier self-image. God made this temple; time to get it back in presentable shape!

My former coworker Tammy Leiviska Stroup, who has completed her treatment for breast cancer. She has inspired so many people over the past year—myself included. I had the pleasure of attending a party for her completion of chemo. What an awesome thing to celebrate publicly with friends and family! We all need to do it more often—celebrate life!

The 30-plus people I have seen train over the past six months for Ironman Texas. Race day is May 21st, and I can’t wait to see them cross the finish line.

The sermon that my pastor preached last Sunday has inspired me to leave those things that are behind and move forward in victory!
