Hi, it’s Edward again from Guideposts. And I wanted to share with you one of the things that is, getting through with these difficult times, something I find helpful in my daily struggles. And that’s those moments of joy that you experience. Those God-given moments of joy that make some of your troubles seem a little less burdensome.
So when I’m worrying about the well-being of my family or worrying about the well-being of my city, New York City, which I’m away from now or the well-being of my home state of Michigan, which is getting hit hard by the virus right now, I look for these little God-given moments of happiness, mine or someone else’s, and in this case, it’s going to be someone else’s, I think, even though it makes me very happy to see her.
This would be my golden retriever, my… She’s a real tomboy, a five-year-old golden retriever. You’ve met her, her name is Gracie. She’s a ballplayer.
And we’re up here at this sports camp up in the Berkshires. It’s closed down right now. Normally it’d be bustling with activity, getting ready for the summer campers. But right now it’s totally empty. So, Gracie, once you chase your ball, show these people how happy you can be, all right?
Go get it! Come on. Come here, Gracie. Come on. All right, I’m gonna have to bribe you with a treat. Come here. All right, no treat for you.
So that’s it for me. That’s my moment of joy for today. What’s yours?
