Starkville, Mississippi couple Louise and Charles “Lala” Evans had been high school sweethearts and married for 59 years when Louise passed away in 2011. Two months later, Lala turned their home into a museum dedicated to their love, hanging more than 1,000 photos of their life together and naming the museum Lala and Louise Land.
Lala’s inspiring story of ever-lasting love touched members of the band Mutemath so much that they featured Lala and his museum in their heartwarming music video for their single, “Monument”. Take a look:
