Mint Iced Tea

A perfectly refreshing summer treat.

Mint Iced Tea

With all the news about the health hazards associated with regular and diet sodas, this is the perfect time to indulge in iced tea. It’s easy to make. Just remember to start with cold water. If possible avoid using tap water; filtered water makes for a better taste. And lastly, the ice cubes you put in your tea will dilute the flavor as they melt, so make your tea a little stronger than you normally would.

Ingredients

4 mint teabags Fresh mint leaves
1 pint water Tea ice cubes
3 tsp. sugar

Preparation

1. Steep teabags 3 to 5 minutes in pot of hot water.

2. Place sugar in pitcher then pour in small quantity of freshly brewed mint tea and stir. Pour remaining tea into pitcher.

3. Fill two tumblers with tea ice cubes then top with tea. Garnish with mint leaves.

Serves 2

Tea Ice Cubes
