Ingredients
1½ pounds lean ground beef
12 corn tortillas
Vegetable oil
½ head of lettuce, shredded
½ onion, chopped
2 tomatoes, chopped
8 ounces Cheddar cheese, grated
Salsa
Preparations
1. Divide beef into 12 parts. Spread one part on each tortilla, using your hands to flatten and spread to within ½ inch of edge. Fry in hot oil by first laying the meat side up.
2. When the tortilla is soft, fold in half and cook on each side till meat is thoroughly cooked. Keep warm while cooking remainder of tacos.
3. Serve lettuce, onion, tomatoes and cheese on the side. Top with salsa.
