This garlicky side dish, browned in a skillet, is perfect for Thanksgiving or any other family meal.

Ingredients

12 brussels sprouts
3 Tbsp. butter
1-2 garlic cloves, peeled and smashed
Grated Parmesan cheese (optional)

Preparation

1. Trim and halve through the stems of brussels sprouts. Heat butter in a medium skillet over medium-low heat.

2. Add garlic and cook, stirring, until beginning to brown.

3. Discard the garlic. Place the sprouts cut-side down in the garlic butter, cover, and cook over low heat until tender, 15 to 20 minutes.

4. Arrange the sprouts on a warm platter and drizzle any remaining butter on top. Serve with Parmesan, if desired.
