Clutter Snack Mix

Snack recipes: Clutter Snack Mix

This snack mix is great for your Super Bowl party—or any day of the week!

Whether you have a salty or sweet tooth, this treat will satisfy your taste buds. The long cooking time is well worth it.

Ingredients

3 c. Rice Chex 3 c. Wheat Chex
3 c. Corn Chex 3 c. Kix
3 c. Cheerios 3 c. thin pretzels
1 lb. mixed nuts (3 c.) ½ lb. party peanuts (1 ⅔ c.)
½ c. canola oil ½ c. bacon fat, melted
½ c. butter, melted 2 Tbsp. Worcestershire sauce
1 Tbsp. allspice 1 tsp. celery salt
1 Tbsp. Accent flavor enhancer (optional) 1 ½ tsp. garlic powder
¼ tsp. red pepper (optional)

Preparation

1. Preheat oven to 200°F. Place all dry ingredients in a large roasting pan.

2. Mix oils, Worcestershire sauce and spices, pour over dry ingredients and stir well.

3. Bake for four hours, basting every 20 minutes.

Serves several dozen
