Debbie Shelkey-Lawson: Connecting with My Kids

Even if I prepare family favorites over and over again, the time together is worth it to me.

Well, I’ve increased my family dinner times from once a week to 4 times a week and I love having the connection time with my children. Even if I prepare family favorites over and over again, the time together is worth it to me.

I think I need to prepare something different for me at dinner, though.

All the tempting starches are making my jeans too tight. I always have salad and applesauce as handy sides to every meal, but I need to make sure I get a big green leafy salad for my dinner. I love raw spinach with ranch dressing, but a nice helping of cheesy hash browns on the side wasn’t doing me any favors!

Got any leafy dinner recipes? Share ’em!
