Hi, I’m Rick Hamlin, the Executive Editor of “Guideposts.” I was talking about my mom. My mom is, like, one of the most cheeriest people on the earth. She’s always up. And you know, she’ll put down the main dish at dinner, and she’ll put it down, like a casserole, and she’ll go, “Ta-da!”
Or when she answers the phone, there’s a little musical thing in her voice. She’ll say, “This is your mother.” And you know, who else could it be? It could have only one person it could be.
But I was reading C. S. Lewis years ago, and he described his own mother. He said, “She had the gift of felicity.” And that’s what my mom has. Everybody loves to be around her because she’s so cheery.
