Thanks to all of you who offered title suggestions for my book. There were some really great and creative ideas and I would be grateful if you continued to post. Remember, the book is about personal change and transformation, the achievement of happiness and the power of story.
It’s full of stories of personal change, including my own, which I have never written about before. Let’s just say that I was probably the most unlikely person to have ever become the editor-in-chief of Guideposts.
Regardless, if I use your title or suggestion I’ll send you an autographed copy of the book next spring when it comes out.
Millie and I are currently up at our house in the Berkshires. When we arrived last night the alarm on her invisible electric Dog Guard fence was beeping. Uh-oh. That meant a break in the line. The fence wasn’t working.
Today a technician came out, Shane Pollock, whom Millie liked quite a bit. As we searched for the underground wire we tried to entice Millie to show us where her boundary was…and she was having no part of it. She stayed far away. She didn’t want to get zapped. In fact, the fence is more for my peace of mind than for Millie’s protection. She long ago internalized her boundary and would never cross it. It reminded me that humans do this too. We understand unconsciously the lines we cannot breach, the behavior that is unacceptable. Funny how we all have our invisible fences.
Well, it’s back to the book. Have a great weekend, everyone.
