The Promise of Hope: Creating Your Change Vision Statement

I’m Edward Grinnan, editor-in-chief of “Guideposts” and author of the new “Guidepost” book, “The Promise of Hope– How True Stories of Hope and Inspiration Saved My Life and How They Can Transform Yours.” Today, I’m going to walk you through maybe the best way to get started on any kind of change journey in your life. 

For a lot of people, it’s helpful to sort of draw up, you know, a change vision statement. And I would suggest five things. Number one, what is it about yourself or your life that you want to change? Number two, how are you going to change it? Number three, what is going to be different about you when you do change? 

Number four, how are you going to feel when that difference comes about? And number five, ask yourself, how will your change positively affect the people around you?
