Here is Edward Grinnan’s Editor’s Note for the August 2016 issue of Guideposts. If you’d like to subscribe, click here.
It has been a while since I have said two very important words to you: Thank you. And not just for being faithful readers of this Editor’s Note. There is so much more that Guideposts is grateful to you for that there isn’t enough space on this page to list it all. But I’ll try.
Thank you for being our ambassadors of hope and inspiration. Every year you send tens of thousands of gift subscriptions to friends and loved ones and to military personnel and their families. And you renew your own subscriptions at a rate that far surpasses the industry average.
Thank you for supporting our other magazines—PLUS, Angels on Earth, Mysterious Ways and Mornings With Jesus, and our special edition The Joys of Christmas. You help us grow and reach new audiences. And where would we be without all your own wonderful stories of faith in action that you share with us? Keep them coming, please.

I have the privilege of writing for our annual devotional book Daily Guideposts. Nearly half a million copies are sold each year, and most buyers come back year after year. You are a great audience. And thank you for being such devoted fans of our other book products, including our series of wholesome page-turning mysteries.
We couldn’t maintain our outreach activities, including free distribution of millions of pieces of faith-building literature, without your generous support.
Thank you for your visits and comments on guideposts.org. It’s a great way to stay in touch and find more of the stories you love. And thank you for sharing over a million prayer requests annually through OurPrayer, ourprayer.org and the OurPrayer Facebook page, where you both ask for prayers and pray for others. What an incredible praying community you are! The world needs you.
And so do I. I’m so touched by the prayers and notes you send me. You don’t know how many times they’ve made my day. For that I can’t thank you enough.
