I’m worried about the future
“Fear thou not; for I am with thee; be not dismayed; for I am thy God: I will strengthen thee; yea, I will help thee; yea, I will uphold thee with the right hand of my righteousness.” (Isaiah 41:10)
“And I will bring the blind by a way that they knew not; I will lead them in paths that they have not known: I will make darkness light before them and crooked things straight. These things will I do unto them, and not forsake them.” (Isaiah 42:16)
I don’t have enough energy
“And He said unto me, My grace is sufficient for thee: for my strength is made perfect in weakness. Most gladly therefore will I rather glory in my infirmities, that the power of Christ may rest upon me.” (II Corinthians 12:9)
“But they that wait upon the Lord shall renew their strength; they shall mount up with wings as eagles; they shall run, and not be weary; and they shall walk, and not faint.” (Isaiah 40:31) How can I trust people in authority?
I’m afraid I’ll lose my job
“And (thou) shalt return unto the Lord thy God, and shalt obey His voice according to all that I command thee this day … and the Lord thy God will make thee plenteous in every work of thine hand.” (Deuteronomy 30:2,9)
“In all thy ways acknowledge Him, and He shall direct thy paths.” (Proverbs 3:6)
My marriage is in trouble
“Confess your faults one to another, and pray one for another, that ye may be healed. The effectual fervent prayer of a righteous man availeth much.” (James 5:16)
No matter how hard I try, it seems I never have enough money
“Give, and it will be given to you; good measure, pressed down, shaken together, running over, will be put into your lap. For the measure you give will be the measure you get back.” (Luke 6:38, Revised Standard Version)
Is there one promise of hope I can latch onto?
“But seek ye first the kingdom of God, and His righteousness; and all these things shall be added unto you.” (Matthew 6:33)
