The hardest part was not knowing what it was. I had yearly checkups with my ophthalmologist and clung to my faith that one day healing—or at least an explanation—would come.
Blessings are all around us, if we have our eyes open to noticing the ways our families, friends, community, and God bless and enrich our lives each day.

If animals can have such pure and loving hearts, isn’t it up to us to do the same? God put the animals here in our care. A good and moral person treats animals with kindness.
We still do May Day baskets because it’s an opportunity, a simple-easy way to love someone. It’s a way to reach into a life and say, “Hey, I value you. I’m glad that you’re here.”
Our loving Father wraps His arms of love around us whenever we need Him.
Let’s ask God to put five people on our hearts. Take some time and pray for them, and then pick up the phone or send a Facebook message or a text and tell them, “I’ve been praying for you.”
One of the blessings of Compline, perhaps the most basic, is that it helps my mind prepare for rest.
The Father’s ears are always listening to our prayers and petitions. He is there 24/7.
