Jesus Loves You

Let Him lead me to the banquet hall, and let His banner over me be love.—Song of Songs 2:4 (NIV)

It’s something you already know… a basic truth you learned as a child… but today truly take it in: Jesus loves you, unconditionally. He is with you every moment of every day. Your every breath is a gift. The blooming flowers, blue sky, all are expressions of His love.

Dear Jesus, because you love me, my life is blessed. Thank You for each and every gift You give me. Thank You for another day.

prayers go unanswered, the next step is to question
God’s timing with a heartfelt, “Why?” When you find
yourself overwhelmed and filled with questions, trust
Him. When you doubt His timing, assure yourself that
all is well. You are exactly where you are meant to be.

Lord, help me replace my whys and what-ifs with trust in You.

When you are going through dark times, keep moving, have faith and place your hope in Jesus, the Light of the world. Know that there is always light at the end of the tunnel, and every tunnel offers lessons that will help you grow. Every tunnel moves you forward to a destination.

Lord, it’s uncomfortable in the tunnel, but I trust You. Together we will make it to the other side.

Have you been seeking out shade from the hot summer sun? The Bible is filled with verses about shade, shelter and taking refuge in the Lord. When stresses in your life heat up, remember that Jesus is your shade. He protects and shields you in the midst of trouble.

Respond Like Jesus

When someone upsets you, do you respond with anger? You can’t control another person’s actions, but you can control how you respond to them. Consider how Jesus lived. He responded to adversity with gentleness. The next time you are feeling attacked or accused of something, ask for Jesus’ help in responding and remind yourself that people are more important than pride.

Heavenly Father, when I am being criticized help me take time to listen and respond gently. Guide me to extend Your grace in difficult situations.
