Complain to the Lord

I cry aloud to the Lord; I lift up my voice to the Lord for mercy. I pour out before Him my complaint; before Him I tell my trouble.—Psalm 142:1-2 (NIV)
God wants you to be honest with Him. He wants you to speak your mind and heart. If you are angry or upset about a situation express your feelings. Share your grief and your concerns. Get them out of your mind and into prayer. Trust the outcome to Him.
Dear God, I am so thankful that I have You to confide in.

Heavenly Father, each day is a gift, a fresh start, an opportunity for me to grow closer to You.

Big Faith, Big Life

Everything is possible for one who believes.—Mark 9:23 (NIV)
Dr. Norman Vincent Peale said that how you live your life is directly proportional to how greatly you believe. Believe little and you will have a little life. If your belief is weak, you will get a weak life. If your faith is fear-based, you will live a life of fear. But when you believe big, you get a big life!
Heavenly Father, God of possibilities, I believe Your plans surpass my biggest dreams.

Don’t Plead… Please!

For God is working in you, giving you the desire and the power to do what pleases him.—Philippians 2:13 (NLT)
When you pray, do you plead for what you want and try to convince God that you know best? Instead pray this verse. Let Scripture move your spirit more closely to His will rather than fighting for your way. Center your heart on pleasing God.
Lord, I need Your help in letting go of what I want. Help me to focus my effort on pleasing You instead.

God’s Constant Comfort

And He who sent me is with me; He has not left me alone, for I always do the things that are pleasing to Him.—John 8:29 (ESV)
Everyone faces moments when they feel alone in the world. The truth is there is never a reason to feel this way because God loves you. He hears your cries and feels your pain. He is present. Pray.
Lord, I ask for Your hope and comfort to continue to heal me. Fill me with Your peace.

A Life of Service

For you have been called to live in freedom, my brothers and sisters. But don’t use your freedom to satisfy your sinful nature. Instead, use your freedom to serve one another in love.—Galatians 5:13 (NLT)
As your relationship with God grows so does your desire to serve Him. There are countless ways that you can serve God every day. Offer help where it is needed, practice forgiveness, add loved ones and those in need to your prayer list. Devote yourself to become an instrument of His work.
Lord, I love You. I praise You for allowing me to be Your servant. Lead me where I am needed. I am here to help.

Pray for Your Worries

When I am afraid, I put my trust in You.—Psalm 56:3 (NIV)
Are you worried about something? It’s easy to let anxious thoughts take over your mind and shift your focus off of God. Instead of allowing this to happen, pray, “Lord, I put all my trust, all my hope and all my faith in You alone.” Release the outcome of the situation to His care.
Heavenly Father, help me not to worry when things don’t go my way. Guide me instead to put my focus on You.

Be Full of God

He must increase, but I must decrease.—John 3:30 (ESV)

When you put your focus on God rather than on yourself, you grow from His strength and grace. Meditate on this verse and ask Jesus to increase in your life. Surrender to His power and grace; you will become a shining light of His love.

Lord Jesus, my heart desires more of You and less of me.

Believe in Miracles

Jesus replied, “Truly I tell you, if you have faith and do not doubt, not only can you do what was done to the fig tree, but also you can say to this mountain, ‘Go, throw yourself into the sea,’ and it will be done.”—Matthew 21:21 (NIV)

Although the popular saying is you have to see it to believe it—when it comes to miracles there are many times you must believe to see. Miracles happen when you have faith and trust that anything is possible. Open your heart to receive the incredible love of God. His limitless power is available to you.

Heavenly Father, I know in my heart that life’s coincidences are really Your miracles. I believe! I believe!
