Jesus’ Prayer of Trust
Jesus called out with a loud voice, “Father, into your hands I commit my spirit.” When he had said this, he breathed his last.—Luke 23:46 (NIV)
Jesus’ last words are a beautiful prayer of trust and surrender. He was tortured and mere moments from death when He called out to God a prayer of unwavering faith. He didn’t whisper or think the words; He called out in a loud voice.
Father, into Your hands I commit my spirit.
