Let Down Your Net

Simon answered, “Master, we’ve worked hard all night and haven’t caught anything. But because you say so, I will let down the nets.”—Luke 5:5 (NIV)

Do you respond to God’s instructions as Peter did, and “let down your net” simply because God says so? The next time you are discouraged and confused about a situation, have faith and know that He will provide.

Lord, I know You work in mysterious ways to perform Your wonders. Because You say so, I will do it.

When you are so overcome that you do not have words—know that you are not alone. God’s love is so great that when your emotions are too intense to pray, the Holy Spirit intercedes for you. When words fail, His presence takes over.

Loving God, when my pain is too deep for words, I am comforted to know You still hear me.
