Sing a New Song
Sing to the Lord a new song; sing to the Lord, all the earth.—Psalm 96:1 (NIV)
But when he saw the strong wind and the waves, he was terrified and began to sink. “Save me, Lord!” he shouted.—Matthew 14:30 (NLT)
Do you ever have the feeling that you’re in over your head? Maybe an unexpected bill, or a phone call with bad news sends you into a tailspin. Like Peter in the above verse, when you are frightened or worried, it’s okay to cry out to the Lord and know that He will stretch out His hand and catch you.
Father, replace my fears with the belief in Your ability to see me through life’s challenges.
