Various circumstances, including the arrival of a sketchy gentleman staying at the inn, lead the Howard Sisters on an adventure that reveals a multitude of stories about the history of Acorn Hill. What will they learn, and will they discover something about their family history in the process?

The Howard Sisters are in for an adventure when Louise’s daughter, Cynthia, invites a well-known home-and-garden expert to Acorn Hill! Meanwhile, when Alice discovers that dogs are being abused and mistreated for the purposes of racing, she is determined to get to the bottom of this crime and set things right! As usual, compassion and excitement are abundant in Acorn Hill!

 A famous author has come to stay at Grace Chapel Inn for a few days to finish her novel. However, with the town excited over her visit in Acorn Hill, will the Howard sisters be able to give her the privacy she needs to work?  Meanwhile, Jane is rushing to prepare the inn for a special wedding. Everyone is willing to lend a hand, but will it be enough to get everything in order on time?

As autumn arrives in Acorn Hill, Alice attempts to bring together one of her patients and a guest at Grace Chapel Inn. The two individuals in question have had a rocky history and it is difficult to say whether or not heartbreak has truly extinguished the flame of love between them. Will the Howard sisters reunite the former lovers, or are some things better left alone? Also, did Lloyd actually change his name to Lola?
