Overflowing with Hope

May the God of hope fill you with all joy and peace as you trust in him, so that you may overflow with hope by the power of the Holy Spirit.—Romans 15:13 (NIV)

Expect something amazing to happen today. Be encouraged, knowing that God is with you and that He will shine His blessings on your life. He will fill you with the peace and joy and energy of the Holy Spirit so that you will brim over with hope.

Lord, bestow upon me a new vision—a new hope!

Jesus the Great Gardener

When Mary Magdalene first saw Jesus, she mistook Him for the gardener. Take a moment and reflect on that. Envision Jesus as a gardener tending to your spirit. What beautiful blooms does He have planned for you in this new year?

Almighty God, I trust You to grow new life, to heal the broken parts of me and make me whole and hopeful.
