Secrets of the Blue Hill Library

When Anne’s friend, Tami, visits from London, Tami talks about a note she found in one of her new costumes that claims that Aunt Edie was in possession of Hugh Bettridge’s missing play. When Anne agrees to search for it, it becomes apparent that she is not the only one searching for the script. Can she find it before someone else does? At the same time, Anne agrees to take a role in a fundraising play. However, when she discovers that her character has to kiss Alex’s character, can she overcome her anxiety to help the production succeed?

A mysterious letter has arrived at the library, containing a counterfeit newspaper article which frames Anne and her friends for a crime that occurred the very night of their high school homecoming! As if the letter was not sufficiently worrying, the writer threatens to reveal information that could put Anne’s reputation—and job—at risk! However, land surveys are becoming sabotaged and even the land itself is being damaged! Is this just a consequence of the competition between landowners, or does someone dislike the idea of a corporation coming into the cozy town of Blue Hill? Meanwhile, when Wendy leads a protest against the store coming into town, Anne refuses to support her because the store could possibly benefit poorer families in the area.
