His Goodness Shines

So God created the great creatures of the sea and every living thing with which the water teems and that moves about in it, according to their kinds, and every winged bird according to its kind. And God saw that it was good.—Genesis 1:21 (NIV)

Everything God made reflects His goodness. When you are focused on your own flaws or feeling down about the world and your circumstances, reflect on the wonders of God’s creation and know that His goodness shines in you, too.

Creator God, change my perspective so that I see Your beauty in all my experiences.

What brings you joy? Is it a beautiful sunrise? The laughter of a loved one? Today, take a moment and reflect on the many gifts of grace that God has given you. Often we focus so much on our worries that we neglect to see what is certain and constant—His many blessings. Remind yourself that no matter what you are going through, as Psalm 30 promises, “joy comes in the morning.”

Heavenly Father, my joy is knowing that I can trust Your promises to always lift my spirits.
